The Voice Within Speech Pathology is a registered provider for the following funding options and are happy to help you through the funding process
CHRONIC DISEASE MANAGEMENT MEDICARE FUNDING (10970)
The Chronic Disease Management Plan (formerly known as Enhanced Primary Care Plan) is completed by a GP for children requiring medical/allied health assistance from at least two different health providers. If you have been given a Chronic Disease Management Plan including speech therapy by your GP, you will be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate for up to 5x speech therapy sessions per calendar year. You are still required to pay the full amount of all sessions on the day of the appointment, however when you take/post your receipt to Medicare, they will then provide you with a rebate.

PDD/ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONAL MEDICARE FUNDING
(ASSESSMENT: 82005, TREATMENT: 82020)
This funding is organised by your Paediatrician for all children under 15 who have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder or Pervasive Developmental Disorder. It provides 20 rebated sessions for Speech Pathology, Psychology and/or Occupational Therapy for a person’s life. Four of these are available for assessment and sixteen for therapy, totalling 20 sessions. As with above, you are still required to pay the full amount of sessions on the day of the appointment, however when you take/post your receipt to Medicare, they will then provide you with a rebate.
HELPING CHILDREN WITH AUTISM (HCWA) FUNDING SCHEME &
BETTER START FOR CHILDREN WITH A DISABILITY FUNDING SCHEME
These funding schemes are for early intervention for children who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Fragile X Syndrome, a moderate (or greater) vision or hearing impairment, Prader Willi Syndrome, Williams Syndrome, Angelman Syndrome, Kabuki Syndrome, Smith-Magenis Syndrome, CHARGE Syndrome, Cornelia de Lange Syndrome, ‘Cri du Chat Syndrome, and microcephaly. They provides you with up to $12,000, to use across two financial years (i.e. $6000 for two years) on registered Speech Pathology, Psychology and Occupational Therapy services, as well as resources that may be beneficial for your child.
In order to access the Helping Children With Autism funding from FAHCSIA your child needs to be between the ages of 0-7years and you need a diagnosis from approved Psychologists, Speech Pathologists and Paediatricians. The Voice Within Speech Pathology in conjunction with Best Start Clinic, are able to conduct speech pathology and psychology assessments in order to apply for this funding. We are also eligible to provide therapy services under this funding.

PRIVATE HEALTH REBATES
Private Health Insurance rebates are also available for speech therapy services. The Voice Within Speech Pathology is a registered provider under all known Private Health companies to date. The ability to access this funding is determined by your level of cover and/or if you have selected “Speech Pathology” as one of your Allied Health Services that is claimable. To access this funding option, you will still need to pay the full amount on the day of your appointment, however when you then post/take the receipt to your Private Health Provider, you will receive a rebate. Please contact your Provider for information regarding rebate amounts/restrictions.
