We welcome Emma who recently joined our team.
Emma is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist who graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Master of Speech Pathology. She is passionate about working with children and adults with a broad range of communication difficulties, and is committed to using evidence-based approaches to promote functional communication skills to empower clients to participate in all aspects of life.
Emma has clinical experience across a variety of settings, including community health, hospitals, primary schools, and private practice, and has worked with people of all ages across various aspects of communication and swallowing. Her particular interest lies in developing the language, literacy, and social communication skills of school-aged children, to enable them to engage in learning and develop meaningful relationships with peers. Emma’s strength is her ability to provide consistent family-centred care; she engages with clients in a warm manner to develop rapport and include clients in the therapeutic process.
Emma is dedicated to ongoing education and professional development as a clinician. She is a member of Speech Pathology Australia and participates in the association’s Professional Self-Regulation program.
